The first pilot projects in Executive Education will be launched this year in the capital of Accra. The courses will be taught by Ceibs professors. “The new Africa program will deliver world-class business management courses to a population of students who currently lack access to such programs,” explained Pedro Nueno, Ceibs Executive President.

The business school will promote the program not only in Ghana but throughout Africa as well. “Now is the right time and Ghana is the right place,” emphasized Nueno, who is also a professor at the Spanish business school Iese in Barcelona.

Initial reaction to the program has been “extremely encouraging” and tremendous support has been received from all sides – from the government, from corporate sponsors and from the Ceibs community. Kwaku Atuahene-Gima, a Ghanaian national and Professor of Innovation at Ceibs, conducted extensive ground-work in particular.

Funding for the first year of the program has been secured through corporate sponsorship. Classes will be taught in English and marketed to both Africans and Africa-based expatriates.
