“In the last ten years there has been an enormous increase in worldwide accreditations,” said Thomas, who is already teaching in the U.S. and Australia. “With the appointment of a Brit, the AACSB also wants to position itself more strongly as an international organization.”

Thomas, who was already on the Board of Directors of the Graduate Management Admissions Council and Vice President of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in Brussels, is also assuming the leading position of the UK-based Association of Business Schools (ABS), in which leading British schools have amalgamated. “My job here is, above all, to explain to the international audience what the features of British management education are,” said the Warwick Dean.
