Frankfurt University opens “House of Finance”
The House of Finance is the first building block in the expansion of the humanitarian, economic and social sciences campus at the west end of the Frankfurt Goethe University. In the future, 26 professors and roughly 180 academics from the fields of law and economy will work there and transform the House of Finance into one of the leading centers for teaching and research in the field of finance.

With the House of Finance, a unique concentration on money and finance-related research in a German-language realm emerges, explained the Premier of Hessen, Roland Koch, at the opening. The new center doesn’t just offer an excellent basis for the successful transfer of knowledge from the university in the capital market economy – it also secures the competitive abilities of the financial location of Frankfurt. The state of Hessen allocated roughly 30 million euros for the project. Of this, 26 million flowed into the actual structure and four million euros into the furnishing.

In addition to the Economic Sciences Faculty, the Institute for Law and Finance, the E-Finance-Lab, the Center for Financial Studies, the Institute for Monetary and Financial Stability and the Goethe Business School are all moving into the new building.

Founded in 2004, the Goethe Business School is a foundation of Frankfurt University and is closely connected with the Economic Sciences Faculty. Its offers include Masters programs, open seminars and tailor-made programs for companies. The flagship program is the Duke-Goethe Executive MBA, which is run in cooperation with the American school Duke University.
