AACSB: Five new accreditations
Orientations Bärbel Schwertfeger - 01.26.2009
Five more business schools have earned accreditation from AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. One of the schools is the Shanghai-based China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), which was established with the help of leading European schools.
The newest accreditations raise the total number of institutions with AACSB accreditation to 559 worldwide. The overwhelming majority - 460 schools - are still based in the US.
The Griffith University in Australia, the Southeastern Oklahoma State University, the SUNY Institute of Technology in the US and the Yonsei University in South Korea all join the CEIBS in receiving accreditation for the first time.
45 business schools, including Insead and the University of St. Gallen, maintained their accreditation.
The AACSB always examines the overall business school rather than individual programs.
