CEIBS: Third Phase of Shanghai Campus started
News Bärbel Schwertfeger - 11.02.2009
The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) broke ground for the third phase of its Shanghai campus in Pudong. The event was part of a larger CEIBS 15th Anniversary Ceremony.
Located on 37,700 square metres on the north side of the current campus, the design for the third phase of the campus is being undertaken by the architectural firm of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners - which designed the campus’ first two phases. The expansion will roughly double the size of CEIBS Shanghai campus, both in terms of land area and classrooms, dormitories, and other facilities.
Phase Three of the Shanghai campus is expected to be completed by the end of 2011, which will significantly improve the school's physical environment for teaching, research and service.
With 700 students CEIBS has the largest Executive MBA program in the world. The school has seen no downturn at student numbers - the opposite infact, with record numbers of applicants for the EMBA.
Established 15 years ago with the help of the European Union, CEIBS is considered the leading business school in China. It was already accredited by Equis in 2004. Accreditation through AACSB followed in December 2008.
