MBA in Germany 10-27-2014
The pride and relief was tangible when WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management sent out a press release to announce that its full-time MBA programme has once again made it under the top worldwide in the Full-Time MBA Programme Ranking of the British Economist but only just at place 100.
The school ranked 3rd amongst German universities, ahead are the European School of Management and Technology ESMT Berlin on rank 26 and University of Mannheim Business School on rank 38.
The criteria of the ranking, such as the internationality of the programme and diversity in the composition of groups as well as high quality in all areas, are exactly the direction we’ve been moving in for years”, commented WHU Dean Professor Michael Frenkel.
HEC Paris ranks as top European school, having climbed four places to fourth, “mostly because of the impressive salaries its graduates get”, according to the magazine. Fifteen of the top 20 schools, though, are American, with the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business placed first, for its “strong record of placing students in work”. Outside the US and Europe The University of Queensland in Australia is the top ranked school.
