Increase in application volume for MBA programmes
MBA News Barbara Barkhausen, October 5th, 2015 / 10-13-2015
The majority of full-time MBA programmes, in both two-year and one-year formats, increased in application volume compared with last year and 10 years ago according to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).
These findings were released as one of the results of the 2015 Application Trends Survey that the council – which administers the GMAT entrance exam for business schools – provides on a yearly basis.
According to GMAC 57 per cent of full-time two-year MBA programmes and 51 per cent of one-year programmes reported an increased application volume. Last year only 37 per cent of one-year programmes reported growth. Both programme formats performed better compared than 10 years ago: 60 per cent of full-time two-year and 53 per cent of full-time one-year MBA programmes indicated they received more applications this year than in 2005.
