Insead: Two million for scholarships
Business Schools Bärbel Schwertfeger - 12.16.2008
Scholarships amounting to two million euros per year are available to the over 900 students at Insead each year. Approximately one-fifth of the students receive financial support.
The list of scholarships offered is long. There is support available, for example, for students from Lebanon, Iraq and Vietnam. Even Belgians with a strong commitment to their country, applicants from non-profit organizations and British engineers can take advantage of special scholarships. The partly exceptional criteria are determined by the sponsors, which are mostly companies and alumni.
There are fundamentally two kinds of scholarships: One kind is based on the verifiable financial need of the applicants. The other is awarded based on various criteria like income, nationality, gender, professional background, leadership skills, etc.
Roughly every fifth MBA student profits from financial support. On average, scholarships are 12,000 euros, whereupon the sum can range between 10,000 and 40,000 euros. The tuition fees for the 10-month program are 50,000 euros. The scholarships apply for the program on the Fontainebleau campus near Paris, as well as for the Singapore campus.
Insead is one the leading business schools worldwide and, in addition to its MBA and Executive MBA, it also offers PhD programs as well as Executive Education.
