MBAs: Job prospects improving

More recruiters and more individual companies are planning to hire MBA graduates this year. This is the result of the latest survey from the Graduate Management Admissions Council, which administers the GMAT test, one of the criteria relevant when applying for business school.

The heroes of the job market are smaller companies with less than 1,000 employees. These companies experience a higher demand according to the new survey.

Overall 79 per cent of participating companies said that they plan to hire MBA graduates this year, 7 per cent up from last year. The Asia-Pacific region and the United States will mainly reap the benefits while European companies report no increase but a stagnating hiring level similar to the one in 2011.
