All FOM-courses have a common philosophy: FOM-teaching operates as close to the actual business world as possible and caters to the needs of students who study next to their job. This concept is supported by the following structural features of the FOM: Theoretical knowledge is taught only to the amount, which is necessary for on-the-job research and business forecasts. All FOM-teachers are highly-qualified experts and experienced business leaders. Students attend classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays so that their personal job-workflow during the week is not curtailed, but rather enhanced by constantly updated practical knowledge. As part of the FOM-Graduate School, FOM-MBA-students benefit from an exclusive national competence-network with 17 study-centres. International academic cooperations (Pfeiffer University, Charlotte, USA; Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, China; Universidad Catolica San Antonio des Murcia, Spain etc.) and the FOM Alumni Club add to the school’s networking activities that originate with the highly concentrated practical expertise assembled class.
