IMD - International Institute for Management Development - is an independent not-for-profit foundation located in Lausanne, Switzerland. For over 50 years IMD has trained managers of leading international companies. IMD's mission is to serve the international corporate community to develop and retain the best qualified management talent required for their success. IMD is dedicated to being the “global meeting place”: the most international of all executive education institutions world-wide. It is IMD’s aim to remain a highly relevant institution, bringing cutting-edge, pertinent research into the classroom in the shortest possible time.
This is IMD's "real world, real learning" approach. Many of the 58 Faculty members, comprising 20 nationalities, are recognized authorities in their fields. Every year, some 8.000 executives, representing 98 nationalities, attend more than 20 open-enrollment Executive Development Programs (including an MBA and Executive MBA program) as well as company-specific Partnership Programs. IMD strives hard to be responsive, relevant, and to live up to the motto by listening to and working closely with the 190 large, international companies that make up the Learning Network.
