Nyenrode Business Universiteit

Nyenrode was founded as a private business school in 1946 by Dutch multinationals such as Shell, KLM, Philips, and Unilever, and we've since maintained our close links with business all over the world. Our campus is situated on a 13th-century castle estate located in Breukelen, 20 minutes away from Amsterdam, one of Europe's social, cultural, and financial hubs. The Netherlands is also at the financial heart of Europe: Home to commercial giants like Unilever, Philips, ABN AMRO and ING, and the number one destination for foreign investment.

Nyenrode Business Universiteit today is still loyal to its 1946 mission, to provide talented and motivated men and women with a learning experience, in preparation for entrepreneurial management positions all over the world. As a private business school for and by business, Nyenrode is also a (not for profit) business itself. While maintaining academic rigor and independence, most research done by Nyenrode faculty has an immediate practical relevance and has sponsors and supporters in the business community.

Most important, however, is student satisfaction, brought about by the high quality of the programs, the level of the facilities and labor market perspectives after graduation. Nyenrode has a strong community of 15,000 alumni worldwide. Nyenrode is an entrepreneurial enterprise, and students tend to be entrepreneurs themselves, willing to take the Nyenrode challenge. The return on investment of completing a program at Nyenrode has to be high. In this regard, Nyenrode has a reputation as solid as its castle.
