Pforzheim University - Graduate School

More than 40 years ago, the School of Business was founded as Fachhochschule fuer Wirtschaft (FHW), which is today the Business School. With the merger of the School of Design (FHG) and the School of Business (FHW) and the foundation of the School of Engineering, the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences was created in 1992. Counting more than 4,500 students and 145 professors, Pforzheim University is the third largest University of Applied Sciences in Baden-Wurttemberg. The Business School at Pforzheim University was founded in 2005 as a successor of the very successful School of Business that had been established 40 years before.

The Business School comprises all business and business law programs. This also includes industrial engineers by their list of courses whereas by organization they belong to the School of Engineering. With approx. 3,000 students and 85-full-time professors, the School belongs to one of the largest Business Schools in Germany. The broad range of Master programs offers every ambitious Bachelor graduate the perspective of further qualification. Continuing further from these successful management programs, the university introduced the first MBA program in 1995 as the first state accredited MBA program in Germany. This three semester MBA program was developed for all graduates and was structured as a typical general management program. In 2000 with the introduction of more master programs at the university the MBA in International Management was founded. A new MBA in Human Resources Management & Consulting was developed.
