The Wisconsin MBA is comprised of the following highly regarded career specializations: Applied Corporate Finance, Applied Security Analysis, Arts Administration, Brand and Product Management, Entrepreneurial Management, Marketing Research, Operations and Technology Management, Real Estate, Risk Management and Insurance, Strategic Human Resource Management, Strategic Management in the Life and Engineering Sciences, and Supply Chain Management. Each specialization builds on a general management core curriculum to provide intensive focus in a specific professional field. A unique aspect of the Wisconsin MBA is nine endowed centers combining leadership by faculty experts and business leaders serving on advisory boards. Students receive career management support and real-world insights into their fields of interest. In addition to traditional lectures, the Wisconsin MBA curriculum includes case analysis, project work, team interaction and hands-on, practical experience in the business community. For example, students in the Applied Security Analysis Program actively manage more than $43 million in real money in equity, fixed income and REIT (real estate) portfolios. The school emphasizes international perspectives and offers a variety of opportunities for an international experience. In 2007, students traveled to Dubai, Chile, China, France, and Ireland.
